I is predicted by 2030 the world will need to produce around 50% more food and water and 30% more fresh water whilst mitigating and adapting to climate change. The presentation will to discuss the intense water and energy requirements for the food we consume. He will touch on the effects of climate change which will require all of us to think about how we can reduce our water and energy footprints of the food to ensure sufficient resources are available for future generations.

I will cover questions such as:

  • What is the Water Energy Food nexus?
  • How is Water and Energy used in Food production?
  • What is the cause for concern that there will not be enough food and water to meet our future food requirements?
  • How can water and energy and food be managed together going forward?
